Adaptation

These are a few of the works I completed to earn my MFA. My thesis centered on interpreting the novella, The Golem, by Gustav Meyrink. My approach was to revisit each chapter then sit and reflect the emotions that were elicited. From there, I deployed automatic drawing to build muscle memory before turning my attention to the canvases, which I had built to resemble aged exterior concrete walls.
